The One About Emila The Sage
So lil' Sage Emilia is a little less intelligent now.
Despite that, she still pwns... big time. I've been using her lately and I am totally enchanted with her. In fact, in every server, I intend to own an Emilia the Sage.
She can levitate and she can heal. This statement in itself has so much deeper meaning to it. Some people have commented that with an INT of 7, she is equivalent to that of an ordinary wizard. But she has a higher DEX of 1, which improves her accuracy - thus improving your minimum damage and improves your chances of critical hits.
That aside, the most important thing about her, in my opinion, is that she can substitute the scout role at lower levels and resume her wizarding roles at higher levels. At lower levels, pots (healing potions) are expensive since the amount of vis you can potentially earn is lower. But at higher levels, pots are comparably cheaper in relation to how much you 'earn' as you train. For this reason, once you hit higher levels you would prefer not to use a scout anymore and just rely on potions for your healing/buffs especially since they are a lot faster than heal/buff spells.
Enter Emilia The Sage. Welcome to the Sage's world where you don't have a wasted character slot in your MCC team of 3. Lower levels she plays Lil' Miss Florence Nightingale with her nursing (healing) ability and at higher levels, just equip her with a rod/staff and voila, welcome offensive levitating wizard with proton splashes of high crits.
From this day forth, I shall never own a scout ever again. ;)

That still doesnt explain why IAH nerfed her without telling us in advance..
I felt that since IAH sold a commercal item in beta.. i would think a commercial item would not change its value/stats since you already SOLD it..
The reason why most of us are very upset is because we are not getting what we paid for.
We bought the box set because of ETS with 8 int..not 7..
She doesnt have Vet Stances.. and if her stats are the same as a wizard what are her "pros"??
she can heal? not at high reccomended at high level places as what ur post said..
In the Zouk Event , IAH said Angel wings would be exclusive.. look at what is happening now.. divine angel wings.. and angel wings..

YES our angel wings have 5%ms and as.. BUT it again does not agree with what IAH said!EXCLUSIVE not..
IF the angel wings have stats as compensation.. what about ETS?
the time that we took to wait for ETS to be usable is more than sufficient for most of us to level a wiz up up to 100 .. and we could use vet stances just end this month..
just imagine how we would have felt..the box set was sold way long ago.. those that bought the game are defintly not some lowbies who are concern about pots prices in the low levels..
so heal is really redundant..

Since you already sold something i think you should honour it..
If you didnt get what you pre-order and paid for.. you are entitled to a refund.. are we?
Good luck getting heard, a compensation would even be great, but I doubt it's gonna happen.
I think Carny's line of reasoning is very sound. I'm not trying to cause trouble or anything, but lets just put it this way... Imagine you bought are buying a car, and you have already paid for it. When it arrived it has a 1600cc engine instead of a 1800cc engine as stated on your invoice. Then the dealer tells you that the manufacturer does not produce 1800cc engines at all and only the 1600cc engines are available. Pretty warped situation isn't it? What would you do if you were the customer?

Good points all but you guys forgot a few things.
First, never in any of IAH advert for the Boxset mention that Emelia is going to be 8 INT nor is there any official announcement that Emelia the Sage will be 8INT.
Info on 8 INT Emelia is from external website which base their info on kGE.
Second GE is still own by IMC. if i'm not wrong IAH only have the license to distribute it in the region. So what can be change or will be change depend on IMH who own the game. Of course exclusive item in sGE will probably depend on what agreement IAH have with IMC. Again correct me if I'm wrong.
Third comparing Emelia the Sage with plain Emelia already show that Emelia the Sage is already pretty darn powerful even when nerf. Don't compare her with wizard or scout as Emelia is a hybrid class. If want to compare, compare her with Normal Emelia only then it will be fair.
Fourth, nerfing is common in any mmo. The company reserve any right to make any changes to the game's content. It's in the TOS of any MMOs.
In my point of view people are just making a mountain out of a molehill. Small matter like thing and people behave as if it's the end of the world or like IAH have shafted them like nobody business.
IAH in my opinion have been pretty good, unlike a certain company who shaft the fans for 3k to 5k each. Now that is really unethical even if theose who get shafted are in the wrong.

What i posted was what i think a company of IAH size should do.. they sold something they should honor it..
IF dell printed the wrong price on their laptops they honour it.. its not like IAH is some small mama shop
I also believe IAH had no choice and didnt mean to decieve us too*roll eyes* despite not warning us or any other information that ETS was a BETA item that they sold in commercial phase.
But the issue is what are they gonna do now? refund? compensate us wwith some other things? close one eye and be very happy they sold all the LE box set to unhappy customers which would never believe a word of what they say again?
To be frank im not very happy with IAH..just imagine u bought the box set hoping to be able to get a powerful character and now that character is lousier than a wiz..
do u knoe that if she want to revive she got to unequip all her weapon ? and they say shes owning?
the advert for the limited editon boxset was aimed at ETS!
That is the ONLY thing useful in game that cant be bought when the game goes commercial..the points/time can be bought..And it was stated that ETS itself was worth 100-200 usd in kGE..and wouldnot be available anywhere else..
meaning its a very powerful char..
note that IAH themselves took the char fom kGE so i find nothing wrong for us to believe we would be getting the same thing..
FYI they said IMC banned Emilia.. but kGE had 3000 ETS on their SV so what about us?
Well even large companies have to honor the mistakes they did. if a product is advetisied wrongly the company have to still honor it and suck it up.
you have to understand the fact of "At That Time" and if anything is sold at that time frame they have to honor it to the end. or it will be termed as false advetising.
if a store says its selling an Ipod Mini with a 4GB hard drive and points it back to the main store to check it up. they are bounded to carry it out.
either they have to provide sufficent compensation or look for another source for the Ipod.
Its not about the product which we are worried about but the business ethics of the company
Also u can't say that its the makers of GEs should get off scot free if they have given sGE to sell the ETSs they have to honor it till the end

ITS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
So I would support for the refund or compensation.
They said that Emilia e` Sage worth 69.9bucks... which is should be SUPER power.. so we are expecting the same, not expecting a wiz with extra DEX 1 with some healer skill which is nth much different from quest RNPC.

like Leonson said nerfing is common in every mmo but note that in this game ETS comes in a package of SGD80!!! While many could pay for more than a year of play time with that amount of money + e g-point...lol
i have a suggestion...instead of losing 1int she could trade that point for say 1agi/1dex/1con...
this way her total stats point remains the same and maybe more ppl will feel better...
Seriously when ppl bought something but receive another of a lower quality...it doesnt feel gd...so pls try to understand...especially those who bought more than one GE LE box...we just need a place to COMPLAIN!!!

YES i agree that nerfing is common in mmo. but definitely not to balance them...what ppl wants in mmo is UNBALANCE!!! if not u might as well go back to mario...
another point i want to point out is that if adelina with 8agi is gonna be nerfed what the heck is gonna happened to adelina the pirate??? (mind you SHE GOT 9AGI!!!)...so cash character gonna get nerf? can we CONFIRM the character who are gonna be nerfed especially the cash character b4 history repeats itself?
