The One About V2.6 Content Rollout Schedule
So... what's next in the lineup for GE game content? Here's a tentative schedule for the month ahead. Once again, schedule may be subject to changes, depending on whether there are roadblocks during IMC's patch development.

Other than that, V2.9 is scheduled to launch at the end of September. We are currently still on schedule in terms of localization work and I'll be going down to the sound studio on Thursday with Runner to record Calyce's voice. The voice actress for Calyce is a jazz singer, so I am reallyyyyyyy excited about this one. I'll try to take some photos and get some voice clips as a sneak preview for V2.9! We are still auditioning and looking for a voice talent for the other V2.9 RNPC Claire, the sweet lil' girl who uses a canon. (From what I understand, Claire is the step-daughter of Claude Baudez)
Oh yes, another update in regard to game content rollout. We are currently in the process of implementing the 3 paid game services - Family Name Change, Character Name Change and Gender Change. Previously, there were some really painful technical bottlenecks which have finally managed to unkink themselves over time. But FINALLY, we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel and from my latest meeting update earlier with the rest of the team, we are scheduled to launch on 21 August 2008, Thursday. There may be one more show-stopping bottleneck to this project, but regardless, this project ranks high up on our list of priorities, so it should work out one way or the other.
Phew... ok I think this blog entry may be a bit of information overload that requires some digestion. In the meantime, I'm back to work on the Girl Gamer September website feature. If you are a Granado Espada Gamer Girl, or know someone who is, do get them to join the Facebook or Friendster group (see my previous blog entry post). I'll be scouting around for GE gamer girls to feature on the Granado Espada website and in my column for Playworks Magazine (gaming magazine) based on my Facebook/Friendster stalking. So do regularly check your Facebook/Friendster to add me as a friend or reply my messages ya?

Wow, looks like you have lots of things tied up back to back Hrin. I hope you and your team will work it out smoothly. Nevermind the delay as long as things get straightened out esp the bugs etc.
Otherwise, I'd like to wish you and your team good luck and keep up the hard work.
wahh... 2.9 in september! that's really fast hrin. suddenly 3.0 doesn't seem that far away now...

note: change the name of "nadachi" to "masamune", after the super-long katana featured in FFVII and wielded by the super-villian of all time, Sephiroth. i am very sure this will make people yearn to for it even more XD

Price has not been decided yet. As of now, we have no plans to take it out of the cash shop after it has been patched in ^^
Thanks for the update. I have few questions about the name change now.
Are the names of families that quit awhile ago being freed up for the family name change? Will there be any type of notification for others that your name changed recently or will you need to put it in your profile or something of that nature to let people know?

Nope, their names will not be freed up as long as their families still exist, regardless of whether they have logged in or not.
No, there will be no notification that names have been changed within the game system itself.

There was a comment to reward old time player in GE. is it true? And any more update on countering botting activity? especially those that have been using this cheats to speed up the process to get rare e92 armours and old chess pieces and snail skin? please reply hrin. Thanks
Was the family name change delayed?
Yup... the Paid Game Services project has been delayed yet again due to unforseen circumstances. *sigh*
Everything had been working beautifully on the test server. But when imported to the live server, it was then discovered that the stored procedures given to us by HBS on the test server were a different structure/format from the one on the live server! *sigh* So... now we are awaiting the new stored procedures from HBS again. :_(

Yup, we are planning something for the one year anniversary for old players. hopefully IMC approves of the proposal or it will be back to the drawing board again...
As for botters, GMs are still going around to catch them. From what I heard, quite a few of them came down to our office to demand to be released etc.
how long is the Battle smith card be available at the cash shop??? will be only this week or will it be there for a month????
Will calyce and claire be on version 2.9? cant wait to have them... thx miss hrin. more power ^_^
